Rio Urubamba Rafting

This is a full-service experience and another customer favorite:

  • We pick you up from any hotel in Cusco's city center 10 minutes before the scheduled tour time (9am) and head 1.5 hours by car to the Cusipata River Lodge to set you up with your river gear. You'll change into wetsuits and safety gear and we'll head 10 more minutes to Chuquicahuana (aka "Chuqui") where your rafting tour begins. Before entering the water our guides will give a lesson on river safety and rescue, as well as explain the role of the rafting guides and the safety kayaker.

  • The Chuqui section of the Urubamba river has rapids Class II to Class III+ and offers an adrenaline filled two hours on the river.

  • Upon leaving the river, you'll change out of your wetsuits and gear and head back to the Cusipata River Lodge to eat a hot lunch. Afterwards you have the option to relax in the sauna and/or try out ziplining! The facility has two secure cables that cross the Urubamba river with a distance of 100 meters.

  • After relaxing at the Cusipata River Lodge we will drive you back to Cusco's city center arriving at approximately 5pm.

Our photo/video service is optional and has an additional cost. A photographer takes photos from the shore alongside some of the strongest rapids you will run. Our guests love the photos as a fun way to remember the ride.
